This classic stone built lodge with thatched roof is situated on the lee of Mount Kilimanjaro overlooking one of the world’s youngest volcanic ranges – the Chyulu Hills. The interiors of the lodge draw their inspiration from the rawness of Africa surrounding it through the use of volcanic rock wall cladding and timber beam detailing to the ceilings. Muted fabrics in cool tones add a calm to the interiors. By contrast, the suites draw their inspiration from the days of settlers and wagon trains that moved up through Tsavo more than 100 years ago.
