The inspiration for the architecture and interiors for the Lord Erroll Restaurant, situated on the outskirts of Nairobi was drawn from days past when in 1924 Josslyn Victor Hay, 22nd Earl of Erroll moved to Kenya and a bungalow for himself and his wife on the slopes of the Aberdare Range. Likewise the Lord Erroll Restaurant with its ‘add on’ look to the architecture, wrap around verandas and Victorian detailing was finished with brocade fabrics, damask linen, plush carpets and hardwood floors, brass lights and stain glass ceiling panels.
