Samburu Simba Lodge was designed to merge with the landscape that surrounds it. Skilled craftsmen used local stone to clad walls internally and externally. Gum poles that supported the public area roof structures were intricately wrapped in rope designs. All lights for the hotel were bespoke and used natural and locally beaded elements for ornamentation. Fabrics with ethnic motifs in warm tones complimented the hardwood and wicker furniture.
