Since 1930 when H. G. Robertson bought himself a 2 bedroom house on the beach and dubbed it ‘Whitesands Hotel’, Whitesands has indeed grown and become the destination hotel on Kenya’s north coast. The 340 guest rooms deliver a 5 star elegance with their marble floors and onyx tiled bathrooms while still referencing Swahili detailing in both the architectural elements and the furniture that has been used. Original oil paintings, locally sourced, depicting the beauty of the Kenyan coast complete the interior.
